Stio Unveils Expanded Technical and Lifestyle Collections in Fall 2015 Line

JACKSON, Wyo. (August 12, 2015) – The shift from summer to fall in the Tetons demands technical apparel that can perform at the highest level. This fall, Jackson Hole-based mountain apparel brand Stio introduces its most expansive line yet, with technical and lifestyle mountain apparel collections for the most epic and casual mountain pursuits.

Part of Stio’s expanded ski collection, the Men’s Snotel Jacket is the lightest weight, most technical hard shell offering from Stio to date. Designed for backcountry expeditions, the Snotel is equipped with TorayTM Dermizax® EV3technology for exceptional waterproof/breathability, protection against heavy storm conditions andan underarm venting system for custom climate control during long ski tours. Its counterpart, the new Men’s Skillet Soft Shell Pant, offers superior freedom of movement and breathability with a Schoeller® stretch nylon doubleweave for long hikes and excursions.

"The expansion of our line this fall shows our commitment to providing exceptional apparel for the authentic mountain life,” says Noah Waterhouse, Stio VP of marketing and sales. "Using more responsibly sourced materials than ever before, our Fall ’15 line provides the very best tools for epic on-mountain pursuits as well as versatile styles for every day. With options for the core backcountry or resort skier to the fashion-conscious outdoor enthusiast, our Fall ’15 line delivers something for everyone."

Also new for fall, the Shot 7 Down Jacket is the perfect companion on in-bounds explorations for both men and women. Its Pertex® Shield+ shell, with 20,000mm waterproofness and 20,000g/m2 breathability, and responsibly sourced ALLIED FeatherTM HyperDRYTM water resistant down ensure maximum warmth, comfort and performance from first chair to last. Building on its ever-popular Hometown Down line, Stio introduces the Hometown Down Vest, using ALLIED FeatherTM Down and weighing just 13 oz., making it easy to stash in a pack as an excellent layering piece.
