LONGMONT, CO (November 4, 2015) - After introducing the ORTOVOX MOUNTAINWEAR line in the North American market this fall, ORTOVOX is expanding its sales reach by adding two new agencies to its roster.

Spearheaded by Nate Pickens and Heidi Williamson, Red Fish Outdoor Associates is tackling the Pacific Northwest for Ortovox. The Boise-based agency is responsible for ORTOVOX’s presence at retailers in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Red Fish is adept at opening new doors and delivering top-notch service to retailers across their vast territory.

On the East Coast, Brett Tiefau has signed on to carry the ORTOVOX message to retailers. Brett’s sales group is positioned to service new and existing ORTOVOX accounts in major Eastern metro areas. His territory includes New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic states.

“Nate, Heidi and Brett bring the enthusiasm needed to help introduce ORTOVOX MOUNTAINWEAR in the Pacific Northwest and on the East Coast,” explained Tom Mason, ORTOVOX’s US Brand Manager. “The entire ORTOVOX team is confident they can drive sales and help get the gear into the hands of discerning climbers, backcountry skiers and freeriders.“

The full line of apparel includes hardshells, softshells, midlayers, insulation, baselayers and accessories. Since 1988, ORTOVOX MOUNTAINWEAR has developed a reputation as a leader in wool activewear and enjoyed tremendous success in Europe. From gloves to hardshells, each item in the MOUNTAINWEAR line incorporates wool, either SWISSWOOL as insulation or Tasmanian-sourced merino.

ORTOVOX MOUNTAINWEAR complements the brand’s collection of backpacks and the award-winning line of avalanche rescue equipment, which includes ABS packs, shovels, probes and avalanche transceivers. Together the entire line of exceptional mountain products represents an inventory of gear needed to travel safely in the mountains.

Since its introduction in the US market, MOUNTAINWEAR has earned accolades in snowsports and outdoor media. Fall gear issues from Ski Magazine, Backpacker and Skiing Magazine highlighted the Guardian Jacket’s innovative merino hardshell design. Powder Magazine lauded the sustainably-sourced SWISSWOOL insulation Piz Bianco jacket as a worthy alternative to goose down jackets.
