The Northern Iceland Mindful Running Retreat takes place August 17 – 21, 2017 and combines daily guided trail runs of five to nine miles with spa treatments, wellness workshops, mindful running coaching, chef-prepared gourmet meals, whale watching and more. Deplar Farm, which opened in spring 2016, is nestled among towering peaks and sparsely populated, grassy fjords.

The five-day, four-night Northern Iceland Mindful Running Retreat package includes lodging and gourmet meals as well as little luxuries designed to help the runners recharge their energy and de-stress with their choice of recovery activities. For example, guests may swim in Deplar Farm’s geothermal-heated, indoor-outdoor infinity pool or soak in a saltwater-filled sensory deprivation pod, which helps heal a weary body and soothe a busy mind. Participants also receive Fish’s six-week mindful running coaching program before the retreat and post-retreat support in continuing their wellness practice at home.
While some running fitness is recommended, it’s not necessary to have any experience with trail running or mindfulness to participate in this retreat.
