Collection Builds On Commitment to Sustainable Design Solutions
(Boulder, CO) January 21, 2015— In Fall-Winter 2015, Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven will expand its cold weather collection with versatile outerwear, functional mid-layers and updated accessories for men and women. The new collection offers a deeper breadth of premium products fit for technical outdoor use and everyday wear. With an ongoing commitment to sustainability, Fjällräven will continue to expand its use of eco-friendly design solutions, including use of traceable down in its outerwear under the brand’s Down Promise, as well as use of recycled polyester, organic cotton, solution dying techniques and fluorocarbon-free weather-proofing treatments. Fjällräven’s Fall-Winter 2015 collection will be available beginning in August 2015 at the brand’s flagship retail locations, specialty stores nationwide and at www.fjallraven.us.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS – OUTERWEAR
Polar Guide Parka, $600.00
Developed and tested in cooperation with guides and dog mushers at Fjällräven Polar, the Polar Guide Parka is a waterproof winter parka best suited for demanding winter conditions. The jacket is filled with durable synthetic padding allowing for top performance in moist conditions, as well as cold, dry temperatures. The fixed hood is adjustable and has synthetic fur edging to help protect against winds. Additional features include: several easy access pockets to store personal items and G-1000® Original reinforcements for extra durability in hardwearing areas. The Polar Guide Parka will be offered for men and women in multiple colors including: Deep Red, Blueberry, Black, Dark Navy and Dark Olive.
Sarek Anorak, $300.00
The simple functionality of the anorak has become synonymous with Scandinavian ski touring and outdoor pursuits. In Fall-Winter 2015, Fjällräven introduces an anorak shell to its traditional trekking category, the Sarek Anorak. Constructed with G-1000® Original, the anorak has double layers of fabric over the shoulders for extra resistance against weather and wear. The technical storm hood can be adjusted to help seal out the elements. The hood is also equipped with a foldable brim to provide protection or increase peripheral visibility if needed. A zippered kangaroo pocket and hand pockets offer a secure space to quickly stash gloves, ski goggles and other personal items. The Sarek Anorak will be available for men in three solid shades, as well as two colorblocked options.
Övik 3-in-1 Jacket, $450.00
A versatile winter jacket built for everyday outdoor use, the Övik 3-in-1 Jacketprovides lightweight comfort and warmth. The convertible piece can transition into two lightweight jackets to adapt to late-Spring and early-Fall conditions. The detachable inner jacket is padded with G-Loft® Supreme, Fjällräven’s high performance synthetic insulation. The outer jacket is constructed with G-1000® Eco and can be worn on its own as a weather resistant shell. Performance design details include: a hip-length cut, an elasticated collar, adjustable hems and cuffs, and a two-way zipper with a protective flap to seal out the elements. The Övik 3-in-1 Jacket will be offered for men in three classic colors, Black, Dark Navy and Dark Olive, as well as new seasonal hue Chestnut. The design will also be offered for women in a longer silhouette, the Övik 3-in-1 Parka ($450.00). The parka will be available in four colors: Burnt Red, Chestnut, Black and Dark Navy.
Greenland No.1 Down Jacket W, $500.00
Originally introduced for men in Fall-Winter 2014, the top selling Greenland No.1 Down Jacket will be offered for women in the 2015 season. The Greenland No.1 Down Jacket W pairs traceable, 800-fill goose down insulation with the iconic silhouette of Fjällräven’s Greenland Jacket. To ensure wind and water resistance in extreme conditions, the outer shell is constructed from Fjällräven’s durable waxed G-1000® fabrication. The interior is stitched with a lightweight Pertex Quantum® lining, providing warmth and comfort. A front zipper with button placket, a fixed hood, and button closures at the sleeves help to protect from the elements. The women’s variation also includes a button at the back for waist adjustment. Chrome free leather accents bring premium detail. The Greenland No.1 Down Jacket W will be offered in a range of solid and colorblocked hues. New color options will also be available for men.
Keb Loft Hoodie, $275.00
The Keb Loft Hoodie is a lightweight, packable insulator that can be worn by itself or as a mid-layer for added warmth. The piece is designed from polyester with mechanical stretch and is padded with G-Loft® Supreme. The Keb Loft Hoodie has a snug-fitting hood with a one-hand adjustment in the back for extra protection. Elastic bindings at the hem and sleeve cuffs help seal out the cold. The hoodie will be offered in four colors for men and women: Autumn Leaf, Blueberry, Black and Olive.

The Keb Hybrid Half Zip is a lightweight, insulating mid-layer that is fit for ski touring and cold weather active pursuits. The flexible piece integrates with Fjällräven’s series of technical Keb shells without sacrificing functionality. The garment is constructed with four-way Powerstretch fleece throughout the body. A windproof polyester reinforcement insulated with G-Loft® Supreme is added across the chest and yoke for further protection in hardwearing areas. Additional details include: elastic bindings at the sleeve cuffs, a half-zip closure for easy release of excess heat, and two large zippered chest pockets for utility. The Keb Hybrid Half Zip will be offered in three hues for men and women: Dark Grey, Black and Olive.

An outdoor take on a closet staple, the Sarek Fleece Hoodie is a comfortable and durable fleece sweatshirt perfect for cold weather layering. Fjällräven expands its sweater offering with the addition of the Sarek Torso Sweater. Knit from 100-percent lambswool in an abrasion-resistant tuck stitch, the sweater provides warmth in all winter conditions due to the wool’s natural insulating properties. G-1000® Original reinforcements at the chest and elbows lend to further durability. A high-cut collar with a half-length opening, corozo buttons and premium leather logo details give the sweater subtle style. For individuals who seek the functionality of outdoor pants, but with a tailored look, Fjällräven developed the Barents Pro Jeans. The pants have the same technical, pre-shaped cut and reinforcements as their sister model Barents Pro Trousers, but with a streamlined pocket system. The Barents Pro Jeans have one hand pocket, one back pocket and a small multi-tool pocket for safe equipment storage. Built from durable G-1000® Original, the pants have double layers of fabric at the front thighs and knees to help provide protection in hardwearing areas. The pants are kneepad compatible and have a loop at the waist to attach a knife or pair of gloves. The Barents Pro Jeans are offered in three colors: Dark Grey-Black, Chestnut and Dark Olive.

In Fall-Winter 2015, Fjällräven will introduce new seasonal colors to popular models in its bag offering: the Duffel No.6 will be offered in Redwood and Dark Olive;and the Duffel No.4, Övik Backpack and Greenland Backpack will be added in Autumn Leaf and Redwood. The classic Kånken will also be offered in new two-toned options, including: Frost Green-Peach Pink and Leaf Green-Burnt Orange.
