(New Orleans, LA – March 24, 2016) Following a recent website re-launch, bamboo performance apparel company, tasc performance, has selected SMACK! Media to help drive awareness and education around tasc’s proprietary bamboo fabrics, new 2016 collections and the launch of golf apparel.

Since 2009, tasc has been an innovator in performance apparel by helping outdoor athletes, endurance athletes and fitness enthusiasts perform ‘naturally,’ without sacrificing style. tasc looks to nature for performance, as opposed to chemicals from a lab. With an offering that ranges from super soft cold weather layers to warm weather tees and golf polo shirts that feature exceptional cooling properties, tasc creates proprietary fabrics that are not available from any other brand.

“We were never fully satisfied with standard apparel manufacturing processes that either felt good but did not perform (for example, cotton), or performed but irritated the skin and retained odor (for example, polyester),” said tasc Co-Founder and President, Todd Andrews. “We were intrigued by the performance characteristics of bamboo and soon after, developed our unique process BamCo. ® We’re proud to have created proprietary fabrics that feel better than cotton and perform without chemical enhancements. To help amplify this message, we’re excited to partner with SMACK! Media, an authentic team of marketing and PR experts who understand our product and core values and have followed our growth since the beginning.”

As a family owned company from New Orleans, tasc has over 68 years of experience in textile development with a focus on proprietary, high performing fabrics and patterns. Beginning with certified sustainable and organic bamboo viscose, tasc ensures that each stage of the fabric construction process emphasizes sustainability. As such, 99% of the water used in the dying process is reused and 90% of the energy used in making the performance garments is renewable solar energy.

This fall, tasc will be introducing two new fabrics to their collection, including a seamless bamboo collection of long sleeves, tank tops and undergarments, further demonstrating their commitment to innovation within the performance apparel market.
