Stio Partners With ALLIED Feather & Down on Responsible Down Production

JACKSON, Wyo. (May 20, 2015) – Responsible down sourcing is a vitally important issue facing the outdoor industry and Stio, the Jackson Hole-based mountain apparel brand, will source 100 percent of its Fall 2015 down collection through ALLIED Feather & Down, meeting the textile industry’s Responsible Down Standard. The standard ensures that down feathers are sourced from responsibly raised birds and provides transparency for all aspects of the supply chain.

ALLIED Feather & Down has been providing some of the most recognizable brands in the outdoor industry with high quality, bluesign®-approved down for over 25 years. Stio joins a number of premium brands that are adhering to the strictest of down sourcing standards.

“Our commitment to responsible down sourcing is a reflection of our brand’s values,” says Noah Waterhouse, Stio’s VP of marketing and sales. “As caretakers of the authentic mountain life, we make every effort to incorporate accountability and transparency into our business practices, and our partnership with ALLIED does just that. We’re hopeful that this trend continues to gain momentum in the industry.”

Stio’s Fall 2015 collection is set to arrive in August and will include technical mountain wear and fashion-forward lifestyle apparel that easily transitions from the epic to everyday moments of the mountain life.
