Denver, CO - Rudy Project, Italian crafters of award-winning road and time trial helmets, has wrapped up 2015 with some of the most outstanding athlete performances and product releases that the brand has ever experienced. From triathletes to inline speed skaters, Rudy Project supported competitors in multiple disciplines with the world’s most technically cool lids.

As the Official Helmet of IRONMAN® for North America, the Rudy Project name was plastered all over race courses throughout the year. Age groupers and pros alike made Rudy their helmet of choice, dominating the bike leg with speed and style. Pro triathlete Andy Potts returned to IRONMAN® Coeur d’Alene in 2015 to claim his third title there, and sixth IRONMAN® title of his career. Meredith Kessler rounded out the year with a show stopping performance at IRONMAN® Arizona, completing the course in a time of 8:44 flat…the fastest women’s IRONMAN® finish of 2015! Both multisport stars rocked a Rudy lid, elevating their performances to the highest level.

The 2015 USA Pro Cycling Challenge was also filled with Rudy Project helmets, featuring riders from Jelly Belly p/b MAXXIS, Jamis-Hagens Berman, DNA Cycling p/b K4, TIBCO-SVB, and Colavita/Bianchi p/b Fine Cooking. The men participated in a seven day stage race that took athletes from Steamboat Springs to Denver, Colorado, while the women made their Pro Challenge debut, racing over three days across the Centennial State. Jelly Belly had one of the most notable performances of the week with Gavin Mannion and Lachlan Morton finishing in 4th and 5th GC respectively, in addition to the team finishing 2nd overall.

Team TIBCO-SVB not only represented Rudy Project at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, but this women’s team went on to grab 81 podiums in six countries, including 29 victories, this year. Three riders were even named to their national teams for the World Championship Road Race, making the 2015 season one of the most successful in the team’s eleven year history, all while wearing the Rudy name.

Rudy Project helmets also popped up during this year’s Race Across America, a 3,000 mile bike race stemming from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. Team Enduring Hope went on to win the overall 2-person division title, while Team Love, Sweat & Gears finished in the 4-person category with only three racers, due to a collision between a rider and a crew member halfway through their journey. Rudy lids not only kept these cyclists comfortable during this incredible feat across the US, but also helped to protect their lives when disaster struck.

Some of the biggest helmet news came towards the end of the year, when Rudy Project dominated the IRONMAN® World Championship presented by GoPRO® Helmet Count for a record breaking fifth year in a row! With 639 helmets in the field, Rudy Project had a massive lead of 270 helmets over the nearest competitor, a feat that has never been achieved in the helmet industry before. Athletes overwhelmingly placed their trust in Rudy Project helmets to keep them aerodynamic, cool, safe and looking their absolute best while battling all the elements on the grueling Queen K Highway.

In addition to exciting athlete performances, the Rudy Project Wing57 Aero / TT helmet received a makeover this year, getting released in brand new Limited Edition and Custom Colors. The Limited Edition Wing57s featured six new color combinations, from deep blue to fierce red and black, while the Custom Collection featured a new roaring flames design, making this helmet’s looks equally as intimidating as its speed.

Rudy helmets are renowned for their lightweight feel, superior comfort, and highly advanced technical features such as the R.S.R retention and flow-through ventilation system. Keep an eye out for the newest addition to the helmet lineup in 2016, the Boost 01, Rudy Project’s first ever aero road helmet.
