Alaskan retailers will work with familiar faces in the industry as Joel Hammond and Doug Nunn take over alpine and Nordic sales representation
Ogden, UT—May 19, 2014— Salomon is pleased to announce developments to its alpine and Nordic sales representation in Alaska. Joel Hammond is expanding his territory in the Northwest to include Alaska for Salomon alpine hardgoods sales. In Outdoor, Doug and Leigh Nunn’s company, will also expand its Northwest reach to Alaska for Salomon Nordic hardgoods, Nordic apparel and alpine/outdoor apparel.
Mike Adams, Amer Sports winter and outdoor vice president of winter sports equipment says, “It’s such a win for us to take the proven expertise of these highly-performing reps into Alaska.”
Joel Hammond started his sales rep business in 2001 and has been handling Salomon alpine in the Northwest since 2003. A brief Salomon sales team restructuring removed Alaska from Hammond’s service area for the last two years, and he’s thrilled to get it back.
“Alaska has been and always will be a part of the territory that I greatly cherish,” says Hammond. “Alaska is an amazing part of the country that truly offers everything a skier can desire. Salomon makes excellent products that fit the demands of an Alaskan skier, and with the new MTN collection, the future there is very bright.”
Doug Nunn also serviced Alaska throughout his career as one of the original Salomon Nordic sales reps in the United States. He agrees that it’s good for his team at In Outdoor to be back in “The Last Frontier” after a two year hiatus.
Nunn says, “Alaska has always been important to us as skiers and sales reps. We’re thrilled to build on the momentum that the brand has had there for many years.”
