GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — TerraTrike, the largest U.S. manufacturer of recumbent tricycles and tricycle accessories, will partner with Pale Morning Media public relations to promote their newest comfort-driven designs, their rapidly growing dealer base and their avid user community.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2016, TerraTrike was founded by Jack Wiswell and Wayne Oom who launched the brand with a simple sketch on a the back of a cocktail napkin. Heading into 2017, however, recumbent trikes have come a long way since that initial vision, rising to become one of the fastest growing segments in the cycling market.

Over the last two years, TerraTrike has seen significant growth and reached the milestone of over 200 dealers nationwide. Since 2007, the company’s annual sales have grown by 300 percent.

TerraTrike’s growth is being fueled by two primary groups: avid cyclists who prefer the sturdy comfort of TerraTrike for bike camping, bike touring and carbon-free bike commuting; and baby boomers, who are retiring at a rate of 10,000 per day and are drawn to the unparalleled comfort and convenience.

TerraTrike’s leading seller is the Rover: a high-quality, affordable trike for under $1,000. Touted as “a revolution in triking,” TerraTrike’s Rover eliminated price as a barrier of entry into the recumbent market.

Other top models in the TerraTrike stable include the Traveler, a compact folding design that easily fits in the back seat of most compact cars (starts at $2199 MSRP); the Rambler, a lighter, more responsive version of the Rover that’s off-road capable (starts at $1899 MSRP); the Sportster, a high-performance trike designed for speed and handling (starts at $2399 MSRP); and the Tandem Pro, a trike built to enjoy with a friend or loved one ($6599 MSRP).
