RootsRated Explores the Allure of Trail Running with New Balance


Chattanooga, Tenn. (Nov. 4, 2014) – RootsRated, the online and mobile resource for “where to go outdoors,” partners with New Balance footwear to explore the “why” of trail running and grow the sport through a unique content-creation campaign. The collaboration aims to grow nation-wide passion for the sport while sharing authentic stories and tactical tips from some of the most motivated and passionate runners around the country.

This fall, RootsRated and New Balance celebrate trail running by featuring 25 long-form profiles from local runners in 25 communities. They talk about why they run, where to go and how they train. A great example of the content you’ll see is this RootsRated story about a runner from Aspen, CO. Lissa Ballinger started trail running during a painful divorce and her passion for the trail grew from there. “I started running and I found so much solace in it.”

“No two places are exactly alike and we think every runner and every running community has their own stories to tell,” said RootsRated founder Fynn Glover. “With New Balance, we’ve created a tapestry of trail runners from around the country that taps into the authenticity of the sport and unveils the “why" behind the running. It’s been an amazing project so far.”
