Revolutionary AERGON Grip, Carbon Poles Featured

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Aug. 4, 2008) - LEKI, the world's leading manufacturer of Ski, Trekking, and Nordic Walking poles, continues a long history of innovative product design with the introduction of the new AERGON trekking grip, and Carbonlite AERGON and Carbonlite AERGON Antishock Trekking poles. All new Spring/Summer '09 products can be seen at the 2008 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (booth no. 30027).

LEKI worked in cooperation with experienced and professional mountain guides to develop the trend-setting shape of the new AERGON grip. “Biotec” two-shell cavity construction makes the AERGON LEKI's lightest-weight offering ever. The AERGON's ovoid shape can either be palmed or held traditionally for a variety of secure gripping options for ascent and descent. The AERGON features a rubberized and dimpled top for a textured grip, Thermofoam padding, and the company's proprietary Adjust Right system for easy strap adjustment. The AERGON will be available on 11 select LEKI Trekking poles, including women specific designs.

The new Carbonlite AERGON (sug. ret. $179.95) is now the lightest Trekking pole in the LEKI line. The pole features a minimum packing size of 61 cm, excellent stiffness, and a perfect swing action. The Carbonlite AERGON Antishock (sug. ret. $199.95) also features LEKI's Soft Antishock System Lite. Both poles are made of high modulus carbon fiber.
