Terry Tempest Williams to Keynote OIA Industry Breakfast Hosted by REI

The National Park Service Centennial focused event will kick-off Day 1 ofOutdoor Retailer Winter Market 2016

Boulder, CO (December 22, 2015) - Outdoor Industry Association® (OIA) announces the OIA Industry Breakfast, which kicks off Day 1 of Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, will feature author, naturalist, and conservationist, Terry Tempest Williams as its keynote speaker. REI will be hosting the event.

Williams, author of such highly acclaimed books as “Refuge” and “Finding Beauty in a Broken World” will be speaking about her upcoming publication, “Hour of Land, A Personal Topography of National Parks,” reinforcing the outdoor industry’s unique position and collective power to both engage in environmental stewardship and take meaningful action to protect the places where America recreates.

The program will also feature special guest, Jon Jarvis, Director of the National Park Service, who will speak about the NPS Centennial and special programs for the coming celebration.
