Backpackereditorial team “came to love” the Sync due to its “simple and intuitive” attributes.

BORDENTOWN, N.J. –Deemed “as simple and intuitive as it gets,” Backpacker Magazine this week bestowed a 2015 Editor’s Choice Award on the Princeton Tec Sync headlamp, a new compact, versatile headlamp that easily changes settings with a twist of the fingers while sporting superior features.

“Rather than relying on complex electronics and a 12-page instruction manual, the Sync uses a simple, foolproof dial on the side of the housing, which lets you manually click back and forth through five modes (red, spot, high flood, low flood, and max bright),” said Backpacker editors.

The easy-to-use and affordable Sync provides a power dial that allows direct access to all of the headlamp's five modes. With simple, smooth clicks of the dial users can easily rotate between each mode to hone in on the perfect setting for any situation. The Sync also has a lock mode that cuts down on accidental illumination, conserving battery life.

“In the last few years, headlamps have been trending toward the super-techy, with rechargeable options, programmable lighting, ambient light sensors, swipe controls and price tags that will drop your jaw,” said Backpacker editors. “Which is exactly why we came to love this base model. It’s as simple and intuitive as it gets, yet still has all the features we want, and it costs only $30.”

This year marks the 40th anniversary for the brand, where Princeton Tec stands as the market leader of U.S. manufactured headlamps and handheld lights for the outdoor, bike, tactical, industrial, and SCUBA markets.

The Princeton Tec Sync headlamp is currently available in multiple colors at local and onlineretailers.
