Outdoor Industry Association® Offering Robust Outdoor University® at Outdoor Retailer Curriculum
Schedule Includes Nearly 50 Sessions to Help Industry Understand and Adapt to Key Trends

Boulder, Colo., July 26, 2013 — Outdoor Industry Association® (OIA) is presenting nearly 50 educational sessions as part of Outdoor University® at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City. Sessions start on Day Zero of the trade show (July 30) and continue through Day Three (Aug. 2). All sessions are free and open to Outdoor Retailer attendees.

Outdoor University at Outdoor Retailer (OU at OR) sessions cover a variety of topics — ranging from retail management, corporate responsibility, consumer trends, digital marketing, online consumer behavior, investment strategies, brand marketing, merchandising secrets, and more — to help the outdoor industry stay ahead of the curve on critical business issues. The curriculum includes subject matter relevant to retailers, manufacturers and independent representatives.

“We designed the OU at OR educational curriculum to address key opportunities and challenges facing our industry in order to help outdoor companies grow and thrive,“ said Michelle Biersner, OIA’s director of education. “I hope all Outdoor Retailer attendees will take advantage of these valuable learning opportunities.”

Outdoor University (OU) is OIA’s education platform, providing live, online and on-demand programming throughout the year. OIA member companies and their employees have access to online OU sessions and the full on-demand OU library free of charge as part of their OIA membership.
