SHARON HILL, Pa. (Feb. 11, 2015) – NATHAN Sports, the Running Essentials™ leaderin creating purposefully-designed hydration, visibility and performance gear, is proud to announce that the brand is now the “Official Headlamp & Lighting, Hydration, and Reflective Partner of the Ragnar Relay Series, and the “Official Headlamp & Lighting, and Reflective Partner” of the Ragnar Trail Relays

The exclusive multi-year, category partnership makes NATHAN visibility and hydration products available to participants at events, participating retailer partner stores, and online before, during, and after each race. Other benefits include special offers in the virtual race bag, grassroots promotion by Ragnar’s Field Ambassador Teams, and brand integration via Ragnar’s social media channels, email newsletters and the Ragnar mobile app.

“Ragnar and NATHAN share similar values helping make the partnership a perfect match. Ragnar runners have the chance to dig deep, conquer what they may have thought impossible and do it with style all their own At NATHAN, we understand that proper hydration, visibility and active lighting solutions are crucial to ensuring that runners are safe and perform their best around the clock, whether on the road or trail.” said Brent Hollowell, VP of Marketing at NATHAN Sports. “We’re excited for Ragnar participants to put NATHAN gear to the test and experience how we can help them run stronger and longer, and conquer the challenge.”

During a Ragnar Relay, teams of 12 run a 200-mile relay over two days and one night; in a Ragnar Trail Relay, teams of 8 run a 120-mile scenic trail relay over the same time span.

“We are thrilled to welcome NATHAN to our Ragnar Nation family as a sponsor of both our Trail and Road Relay series. It’s energizing to team up with a company that shares our passion for the sport and creates gear that truly makes a difference in the performance and safety of our runners,” said Tanner Bell of Ragnar Relay Series. “Our aim is to put on amazing and fun events that challenge our athletes while drawing them back year after year. Safety is critical in making that happen and is our number one priority. NATHAN products will provide the tools they need to stay safe and hydrated, and have their best run.”

The 2015 season kick-off took place February 6-7, traveling from Miami to Key West, Fla. NATHAN representatives jumped in feet first cheering on runners, manning a photo op station, creating a spectacular strobe light experience along a dark spot on the trail, and organizing team challenges with prizes.

NATHAN products are available at specialty running shops, sporting goods and outdoor stores worldwide. For more information, visit NATHAN at www.NathanSports.com, on Facebook (NATHAN Performance Gear), Twitter (@NathanPerfGear) and Instagram (@NathanPerfGear).
