OSLO, Norway (January 21, 2016) —Helly Hansen’s ULLR collection for freeride skiers continues to receive global recognition with the latest accolades coming from the ISPO trade show in Munich where the Elevation Shell Jacket received a coveted ISPO Award 2016/17.

The professional-grade jacket, designed in collaboration with Helly Hansen’s ski ambassadors, received the award based on its innovative design and performance attributes as judged by a panel of 45 jury members from 10 countries.

Built for professional big mountain skiers, the Elevation Shell Jacket features extra durable Helly Tech® fabrics with a combination of an air permeable membrane and H2Flow™ temperature regulation system that uses PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Active. The exclusive design makes it the burliest, most breathable and highest performing freeride jacket in the ULLR collection.

“The Elevation Shell Jacket is the result of a true collaboration between Helly Hansen’s design team, our professional ski ambassadors and fabric and insulation partners,” said Philip Tavell, Category Managing Director for Ski. “The ISPO Award is especially meaningful because the Elevation was up against so many exceptional products in the category.”

Helly Hansen has consistently introduced state-of-the-art designs and technical innovations since its founding in 1877, including the first supple waterproof fabrics for the commercial fishing industry 138 years ago, the first pile fabrics in the 1960s, the first technical base layer in 1971 and the H2Flow™ temperature regulation system in 2012.

The Elevation Shell Jacket is part of Helly Hansen’s 2016-17 ULLR™ freeride outerwear collection, available in September 2016, that caters to skiers who pursue high-intensity experiences beyond resort terrain and require the utmost protection and versatility in apparel.
