Ascending Soon: Native Eyewear’s 2016-17 Goggle Line

A Collection Built to Withstand the Wonders of the Backcountry

Denver, Colo. (Nov. 23, 2015) — Adventure is a necessity in all seasons. From sun to now snow, Native Eyewear is pleased to announce the launch of the 2016-17 snow goggle collection. Designed for natives that take pride in the backcountry, the collection was inspired by the mountains and made for all types of ski and snow conditions.

Snow-Tuned Lens Technology

Whether it’s a gust of snow or an abrupt change in temperature, a lot can happen in eight minutes. To combat fogging, Native’s all-new Super Anti-Fog Coating is the first to delay condensation by eight minutes, compared to the industry standard of 30 seconds.

Native has also engineered a lens with snow specific polarization film to decrease the intensity of the light waves reflected by snow in bright conditions, while still allowing the wearer to identify ice and other potentially dangerous elements. An additional low light lens will be included with the purchase of every pair of polarized Native goggles to outfit skiers and snowboarders for all lights conditions.

Three different lens options will be available, filling the need of every backcountry adventurer:

  • SnowTuned – non polar, entry level lens
  • SnowTuned React – photochromatic lens
  • SnowTuned Polar – polarized lens

“This new goggle technology was engineered especially for backcountry terrain,” said Kate Heckman, Director of Marketing at Native Eyewear. “It’s an eyewear solution for the guides, snow cat drivers, heli pilots, backcountry explorers, and every outdoor adventurer in between.”

Pushing The Limits

Goggle frames are made with asustainable, bio-based castor resin material that withstands a greater heat index without warping. Thetapered nasal fit provides maximum comfort and enhanced airflow while the reversible outrigger includes a double-sided strap that articulates for use both ways. For optimum backcountry safety, a piece of reflective mirror tape is sewn into the strap and can be easily spotted in unfavorable light conditions and potentially dangerous situations.

The Total Package

Appealing to both men and women, the look and feel of the line is refined and mature with muted, matte colors, and a clean, subtle logo treatment. Designed to mix-and-match with other outdoor gear like helmets and jackets, the straps incorporate unique textures and colors inspired by natural outdoor elements.

Even the packaging has been engineered with backcountry use in mind featuring a complimentary carrying case made out of waterproof textiles and seams, with space for sunglasses, phone, cards, an ID and other small adventure necessities. Its easy strapping system seamlessly attaches to your pack allowing for quick venting and drying.

When Life Happens

Accidents are bound to happen, and that’s why Native Eyewear offers a premier lifetime warranty. Whatever the reason, replacements are guaranteed for a flat fee with no questions asked, $40 for non-polar lenses and $70 for polar and photochromatic lenses.
