Anderson Lee, President and CEO of Pinneco Research Limited, Judges For Hong Kong Design Institute’s Fashion Business Competition 2013
HONG KONG, 8 May 2013 – Anderson Lee, President and CEO of Pinneco Research Limited, was invited by The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), to be a judge at an innovative Fashion Business Competition this past week.
Janet Lee, Merchandising Manager of Marks and Spencer and Dr. Chester To, Associate Professor of the ITC at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University were also a part of the judging panel. This competition brought together a total of 11 final year student groups who are studying in the Higher Diploma and Top Up Degree programs.
In A. Lee’s interaction with the students through judging, he shared his passions and views on sustainability. Students received these well and was reflected in their response to Lee’s education.
A. Lee believes that educating the younger generation about sustainability in the early stages of their career will create a more eco-friendly future. The HKDI Fashion Business Competition 2013 held a platform for the leaders of today to educate the leaders of tomorrow by harboring their personal growth in an experienced-based activity.

Anderson Lee is a respected apparel technical expert and a leader in promoting sustainable business practices. Among other accolades, he is the Vice Chairman of the Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium; Executive Committee Member/Director of the Hong Kong Intimate Apparel Industries' Association; Convener in the Fashion Industry Development Committee of the HKSAR Legislative Council; Voting Member for the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (current Board of Directors nominee); Steering Member of the Global Recycle Standard Version 3 Working Group; Sustainability Working Group Voting Member of the Outdoor Industry Association, Compliance Committee of the Global Apparel, Footwear and Textiles Industry; and international judge of EcoChic Design Awards 2012 and 2013.
Doctor Chester To
Dr. To is Associate Professor at Institute of Textiles and Clothing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Marketing and Merchandising are his teaching and research specialism. Dr. To conducted industry surveys for the governments of Hong Kong and Thailand, and has delivered consultancy and training services, especially in the areas of merchandising and process control, in Hong Kong, China Mainland, Mauritius, Singapore and Thailand. Dr. To is currently the chair of the Hong Kong Apparel Merchandising Professionals Association.
Janet Lee is the Merchandising Manager for Lingerie and Per Una, Marks & Spencer.
