Polartec and Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, a biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of spider silk, is bringing to market the first fabrics made from spider silk. The material was initially developed for specialized military applications, but is emerging as an ingredient for high performance textiles and apparel.
