Treksta’s Innovative New Models Are Ready to Get You Out There

Vancouver, BC (March 25, 2016) – Award-winning outdoor footwear maker, Treksta, today announced that its newest running and hiking shoes for maximizing outdoor comfort and performance are now available both online at and through their retailer network. Known for its pioneering technology; including its ground-breaking NestFIT™ last, function specific HyperGrip® outsoles and award-winning Hands Free technology, Treksta’s newest models offer outdoor lovers, runners and trail runners, water sports enthusiasts, and hikers the ideal combination of fit and function.

According to Treksta’s Sales Director, Rob McCurdy, Treksta’s new models highlight the company’s core mantra: Dare to be Different: “Our latest advancements, like the new cushioned HyperFoam midsole in the Mega Wave running shoe and the use of the precision-fit BOA lacing system in our new, do-everything Kobra GTX, highlight that mindset. Fit is, of course, paramount and our NestFit last ensures a superior fit, but function and performance for the outdoor environment are also critical. These new models deliver the entire package.”

Treksta’s Spring 2016 arrivals all share the company’s signature NestFIT construction, a unique and dynamic system, which unites last, insole, midsole and outsole to cradle the feet and support them in a fully natural position. For the wearer, NestFIT ensures long-term comfort and prevents muscle fatigue. Built from the scans of over 20,000 human feet, NestFIT provides an anatomically correct fitting shoe, which also incorporates a sulcus crest, a slight ridge at the back of the toes for added support, leading to greater comfort and performance. The new Kobra 312 GTX offers Treksta’s HyperGrip® IceLock outsoles, which incorporate tiny glass particles in thoughtfully placed lugs to enhance traction on wet and icy surfaces.

Treksta’s Spring 2016 models include:

Mega Wave:

The Mega Wave is a maximum cushioned, lightweight, breathable shoe for the long distance runner. The Mega Wave features Treksta’s new HyperFoam dual density midsole for a plush cushioned ride that offers 23% superior cushioning and rebound a rapid, tie-less lacing system with lace garage and the Hypergrip HGL outsole with IST (Independent Suspension Technology) for maximum grip and stability on varied terrain. With a 6 mm drop and weighing just 10.5 oz (M’s 9), the Mega Wave is ready to take runners the distance. Available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes and colors.

MSRP: $125

Kobra 312 GTX:

The one shoe that really can do it all: Travel the world or walk/run your favorite all season trail. The newly designed Kobra 312 GTX boasts all the powerful features that the original Kobra is famous for, and then some. The precision fit BOA system for single-handed lacing; the HyperGrip outsole with IceLock for incredible traction; Gore-Tex for breathable, waterproof comfort; and the all-day comfort and support of Treksta’s NestFIT technology. Available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes and colors. MSRP: $200.00

For the climber and mountain athlete, Treksta’s new approach shoe, the Libero, is full performance and packed with technical features, but also ideal fo

r life away from the crag. The Libero’s Split Suede upper features Treksta’s T-frame construction and offers protection from sharp rocks. The powerful heel cup holds the foot securely in place while hiking and scrambling. The Hypergrip Super Gum sticky rubber outsole, with multiple tread configuration and direction, gives confidence when clambering over any type of rock. MSRP: $135

For the paddler and camper, Treksta offers the new Kisachie, aptly referred to as the SUV of warm weather footwear. The Kisachie has an open concept upper, like a sandal, yet offers the stability, support, protection and traction of a hiking shoe. With its Hypergrip® WATERLOCK outsole for superior traction on wet surfaces, the Boa lacing system for easy and precise adjustment, and the neoprene-like liner, the Kisachie is ideal for use on land or in the water. Hike, walk, canoe, stand-up paddleboard (SUP), kayak, camp, approach, cycle, garden, dress it up, dress it down. Whatever works. MSRP: $120

Spring is just around the corner and these new models are ideal for making the most of those outdoor adventures.
