Bend, Ore. –The Conservation Alliance welcomes Stio™ as a new member of their organization. Stio is a new, Jackson Hole-based apparel and accessories brand, with a business that was built on a commitment to the mountain lifestyle, both in product design and in company values.

As a member of The Conservation Alliance, Stio will help support the Alliance’s mission to engage outdoor industry businesses to fund and partner with environmental organizations working to protect North America’s wild places.

“Stio shares The Conservation Alliance’s passion for protecting wild places, and that makes them a great fit for our organization,” said John Sterling, Conservation Alliance Executive Director. “We are excited to include Stio in our efforts to support key conservation initiatives throughout North America.”

“Stio was founded to celebrate and embody the mountain lifestyle and the mission of The Conservation Alliance is a natural extension of our own goals and values,” said Steve Sullivan, founder of Stio. “We are proud to be a part of this important organization and join the ranks of outdoor companies who share a similar passion for protecting our nation’s wild lands.”

About the Conservation Alliance:

The Conservation Alliance is an organization of outdoor businesses whose collective contributions support grassroots environmental organizations and their efforts to protect wild places where outdoor enthusiasts recreate. Alliance funds have played a key role in protecting rivers, trails, wild lands and climbing areas throughout North America.

Membership in the Alliance is open to companies representing all aspects of the outdoor industry, including manufacturers, retailers, publishers, mills and sales representatives. The result is a diverse group of businesses whose livelihood depends on protecting our natural environment.

Since its inception in 1989, the Alliance has contributed nearly $11.3 million to grassroots conservation groups. Alliance funding has helped save more than 29 million acres of wild lands; protect 2,700 miles of rivers; stop or remove 25 dams; designate five marine reserves; and purchase nine climbing areas.
