New helmet company, LEM Helmets, has chosen Verde Brand Communications as its agency of record. Verde will support LEM through all phases of its global launch including content creation, PR, social media, email marketing, and ecomm strategy.

Scott Kaier, formerly of Verde Brand Communications, and editor/writer Aaron Bible have teamed up to launch a new outdoor industry communications agency, Formidable Media. Their very first client: Allied Down.

Long time industry vet, Geoff O’Keeffe has also started his own new venture, O’Keeffe Consulting, which aims to help small and medium sized outdoor businesses grow and improve profitability.

Jon Hoerauf, general manager of Arc’teryx has been promoted to president of Amer Sports Apparel Category following Amer’s acquisition of Peak Performance.

Joel Lee was promoted to the new Global Sales Director position at Vasque.

David DeMartini has been promoted to Global Chief Marketing and Digital Officer at POC. He will oversee all POC marketing and digital efforts globally.

Royal Robbins celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring. Founded by the late legend, Royal himself, the adventure apparel company was recently acquired by Fenix Outdoor, and will debut it's new line at summer Outdoor Retailer.
