In our brand new video series, Sure Winners, we give you the earliest possible scoop on products we think your customers will love. This time: The Arc'teryx A2B Hardshell Blazer

You likely have lots of lifestyle clothing in your shop--stuff that works for hikes and still looks good during happy hour. But this new hoodless rain jacket from Arc'teryx takes the performance with style idea to the next level. The A2B Hardshell Blazer is fit for the boardroom, with tons of secret technical features that also make it perfect for the urban commuter or mountain town woman. You practically need a microscope to figure out that this is a technical rain jacket.

Arc’teryx has always been known for their sexy, clean design whether it be packs, apparel, gloves or shoes, and the A2B Blazer is a perfect example of this philosophy.

Made of three-layer Gore-tex with a soft C-knit backer for comfort, this jacket, believe it or not, is totally waterproof and passes Gore’s famous rain room testing. I know what you're thinking: Wearing a rain jacket in the office is ridiculous, and it sounds about as comfortable as terry cloth bathrobe for a 5K road race. But you'd be wrong, because the C-Knit backer is soft and cool against the skin and the fabric is stretchy and breathable.

The Arc'Teryx A2B Hardline Blazer is the epitome of fashion and function.

The Arc'teryx A2B Hardline Blazer is the epitome of fashion and function.

The key is the innovative zipperless placket and lapel on the front that channels water away from the opening. The A2B also has reflective swatches that you can deploy for safety on the evening commute, then fold away so they’re completely invisible when you don't want want them.

The tailored fit is also key to this jacket’s success: It’s cut, sewn, and tapered like a designer blazer.

If you’re a shop in an urban area with lots of bike commuters, this unique jacket is worth a serious look.
