In Sure Winner, you get the earliest possible scoop on products we think your customers will love. This time, Gear Aid's Arc LED Light Power Station, which is one hell of a charger.
Adios McNett, hello Gear Aid. The company we all know and love for their awesome gear repair products has a new identity: Gear Aid. They also have a whole new product line which has nothing to do with gear repair. Yep, Gear Aid is jumping into the light category with the Arc LED Light Power Station, which promises to be a great all around lighting solution for any outdoorist.
The Power Station is extremely rugged –and heavy. At 1 lb., it’s not for backpacking. But it's a 10,400 mAh battery, too, so you can charge it up at home and use it to power any USB device on the trail.
The Power Station is all about versatility.
Of course, you can adjust the brightness up and down depending on your needs, but you can also control the type of light it throws. Do you like a cool blue light, a warm orange glow, or maybe a combo of the two?
The kickstand is handy and lets you prop it up on any surface and point it where you like it. There’s also a hanging hook, and Gear Aid will also offer a whole slew of sold-separately mounting attachments –a suction cup, a magnet, a bar clamp. The Power Station aims to be a true all-around light source. It even comes with a translucent white storage bag that also doubles as a lantern. Just drop the light inside, hang the bag in your tent, and you’ve got a soft, lantern-like glow.
