North America’s largest fleet of Mobile Bike Shops fuels growing demand, solidifies position as the dominant Mobile Bike Shop brand
February 2017: There’s no slowing of momentum for velofix, North America’s largest fleet of Mobile Bike Shops, which greets the new year with continued growth, and new partnerships for 2017. velofix had its strongest year-over-year revenue growth to date, and already seen a 400% increase in franchise requests since closing Q4 of 2016. Demand for its service remains at an all-time high, thanks to its proprietary route-optimized booking service, and Mobile Bike Shop fleet, which covers an industry-leading 90 franchised territories in North America.
For 2017, velofix seeks to build on its support network for its 90 franchise territories, having just hosted its first annual Franchise Partner Conference at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, with over 80 franchise partners, 15 manufacturers and 16 velofix DIRECT partners. velofix will also renew its support of the velofix Gran Fondo Coastal at the Sea Otter Classic, and sponsorship of cycling’s next generation: the Axeon Hagens Berman U23 pro team, helmed by Axel Merckx.
In addition to adding six new franchise territories in February, including Chicago, Illinois, Jacksonville, Florida, San Antonio, Texas, and Washington DC, velofix has just announced partnerships with former Cannondale-Drapac pro cyclist Phil Gaimon, and InGamba cycling tours. “Our strong success in 2016 created a wealth of equally strong partnership opportunities,” says velofix co-founder Chris Guillemet. “We’re in the extremely fortunate position to be able to partner with some of the strongest brands in cycling as we look to bring our industry-leading convenience and premium service to Europe in 2017.”
velofix launched its first mobile shop in January 2013 and has quickly capitalized on a demand for direct service by growing its representation to nearly every major North American market. Besides repairs and its direct-to-consumer bike sales program velofix DIRECT, velofix operations offer event support, sales of individual components, accessories and sports nutrition to complement every customer service. velofix franchises also offer fleet sales and maintenance, full-service employee bike repair, and lunchtime learning sessions for bicycle safety and basic maintenance education for corporate clients.
Founded with a passion for cycling, Mobile Bike Shop fleet velofix was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by Chris Guillemet, Boris Martin, and Davide Xausa, who all share that passion for cycling and the common belief that bicycles can help change the world.
