WASHINGTON (January 26, 2015) - During this week’s 2015 SIA Snow Show (Jan. 29 - Feb. 1) at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center, the Snow ShowKickoff will bring together Colorado officials, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, Vail Resorts, Vail Valley Foundation plus SIA Board Members and thousands of industry members to celebrate the upcoming 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships AND officially kickoff the SIA Snow Show.

The Snow Show Kickoff will be held on Thursday, January 29 in the Colorado Convention Center’s Atrium Lobby at 8:30AM. Local 9 News anchor, Cheryl Preheim, will act as master of ceremonies for the event and officially welcome the world to Colorado to kickoff the World Championships.

“Each year, we celebrate an aspect of snow sports before we start the Snow Show - this year we’re saluting the World Championships, which represents the largest and most impressive collection of ski racing talent in the world, second only to the Olympics, and I’m looking forward to attending myself,” commented SIA President, David Ingemie.

On the heels of the SIA Snow Show, from February 2-15, the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will feature men’s and women’s alpine ski racing for two weeks in February 2015.
