Smith Optics launches new Photochromic lens for the Pivlock™


Now available for the the PivLock V2 family, the world's lightest interchangeable performance shields, are the brand new PHOTOCHROMIC IGNITOR & PHOTOCHROMIC CLEAR NXTâ„¢ lenses, featuring automatic tint adjustment with 100% protection from UVA/B/C light. Made with Trivex material, the NXT Lens offers high impact protection, great clarity and anti-scratch and an anti-fog coating. The NXT production process allows for greater color and photochromic control.

The lens is also equipped with Smith's permanent Anti-Fog Coating (AFC) to increase clarity at low temperatures and fight sweat in the heat.

Photochromic Ignitor NXT with 14-60% VLT maximizes an object's definition and enhances depth perception. The lens automatically darkens or lightens from available UV light as conditions change. Photochromic Clear NXT with 14-78% maximizes an object's definition. The lens automatically darkens to a gray lens tint as available UV light increases.

The new Photochromic Ignitor lens is included with the PivLock V2 & V2 Max Impossibly Black and Matte Clear models, MSRP $239 includes 3 lenses. The Photochromic Ignitor and Photochromic Clear lenses are both available as a replacement lens for all PivLock V2 & V2 Max models.
