BOULDER, Colo. – Adding firepower to its internal Sales Service and Marketing teams, SCARPA North America this fall made a number of new hires and promotions in a number of new and existing positions around the goal of providing superior customer service and continuing to grow brand awareness in the U.S. and Canada.

In the marketing department, SCARPA promoted Shunnie Chen to Grassroots Marketing Coordinator and hired Tristan Hobson as Marketing Coordinator. Both will report to Marketing Manager Colleen Nipkow.

Chen, who has worked for the last six years at SCARPA as a dealer sales service representative, and who has previous retail experience in several outdoor shops, will oversee athlete sponsorship and support of SCARPA athletes, events and help manage promotional programs to increase brand awareness and strengthen the image of the brand.

Hobson’s role is focused on creating all of SCARPA North America’s creative assets, including catalogs, printed marketing materials and digital materials, as well as overseeing all photography needs. Hobson brings experience from working with the La Fuma group and CAMP-USA, as well as an advertising degree from the University of Colorado.

In Sales Service, SCARPA has added or promoted three people on the team. Emily Voss will move into a role as Dealer Sales and Service Rep for territories east of the Rockies and in Canada. Joey Wolfe will move into the role as Dealer Sales and Service Rep for the Western U.S. Danielle Snyder, a new addition to the team, will become a Direct Sales Representative, working with department leader Steve Jozefczyk. And, Kaydee Harcourt, another new addition to the team, moves into a role as Administrative Assistant, assisting with invoicing and variety of other internal support.

Voss has worked for SCARPA for the last two years as a Direct Sales Representative, and, prior to that, she has worked at REI, as a manager for a climbing gym, and at Backwoods Adventures.

Wolfe has worked for the last year as Administrative Assistant at SCARPA. He brings prior experience from specialty outdoor retail. He has worked at Bent Gate Mountaineering in Golden, CO, and High Country Outfitters in Atlanta.

Snyder comes to her role after working for the last two years at Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder.

Prior to joining SCARPA, Harcourt was Administrative Assistant at the Longmont, CO, Airport, working with invoicing and outside vendors.

All are avid outdoors people - skiers, climbers, hikers and runners, who enjoy the sports for which SCARPA builds technical footwear.
