NEW YORK (Feb. 18, 2016) — Peloton, the at-home fitness solution for live and on-demand group fitness classes taught by the best instructors in the world, has partnered with Strava, the social network for athletes, to provide a seamless workout and community experience.
With a new integration, riders on Peloton bikes are now able to track their workouts on Strava and join the Peloton Club, a community on Strava. Athletes can both analyze workouts and share activities with their friends and athletic network on Strava.
“This partnership is great for athletes who want to keep track of all their athletic activities, including indoor cycling classes on their Peloton bike,” said John Foley, Peloton CEO and founder. “Peloton and Strava have both created fantastic communities of supportive and competitive indoor and outdoor riders respectively. Our riders wanted an integration with Strava and their riders wanted an integration with Peloton. This was an easy one to prioritize and a big win for both communities.”
With millions of athletes connecting on its website and mobile apps everyday, Strava welcomes the addition of Peloton riders. “We are happy to introduce Peloton to our global community of athletes,” said David Lorsch, Strava VP of strategy and business development. “This integration allows Strava and Peloton riders to stay motivated and connect with their instructors, friends and other athletes.”
Peloton activities shared on Strava will include cadence, power output, speed, distance, calories and heart rate data. This feature is included for all Strava and Peloton athletes. Later this spring, Strava Premium members will have exclusive access to a selection of Peloton’s best indoor cycling workout videos taught by world-class instructors.
Strava unlocks potential through the power and purpose of sport. Designed by athletes, for athletes, Strava’s mobile apps and website connect millions of runners and cyclists every day. www.strava.com
