SEATTLE, Wash.Madshus, the world’s oldest ski company, introduces an all new ski touring package ideal for those getting started in the sport. In an effort to share the great benefits both in fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors, the package, available at REI, was designed expressly for ease of use, maneuverability and comfort, perfect for novice skiers.

The new Madshus touring package was developed specifically for entry-level touring at a great price point. “It was important for us to put together a solid touring ski and boot combination with a low barrier to entry for those new to the sport,” said Van Brinkerhoff, national sales manager, Madshus. “The Madshus REI touring package is an unintimidating set-up that will be easy for newbies to use, helping beginners become life-long cross country skiers.”

Ideal for skiers in search of an effortless recreational cross country set-up, the Cadence 90 and women’s specific Cadenza 90 are built with a wider waxless base for stability and a secure step. Paired with the CT 100 and women’s specific Amica 100 boots, this carefully selected ski-and-boot combination begets instant confidence on the snow with a strong kick and glide.

Madshus Cadence 90 and Cadenza 90 Cross-Country Skis: The widest of the Madshus cruising skis, the men’s Cadence 90 and the women’s Cadenza 90 Cross-Country skis offer excellent stability and a confident platform. The Torsion Cap design features a fiberglass wrap that surrounds the air-channeled wood core providing snappy flex that tapers toward the tip and tail while the Multigrip system features scales of varying depths in kick zones giving a grippy, waxless glide.

Length: Cadence 90: 170, 180, 190-- Cadenza 90: 160, 170, 180
