New Caramel Stinger Waffle Wins Skiing Magazine Hot Gear Award at SIA 2015

Steamboat Springs, Colo. (March 3, 2015)—Honey Stinger, the leading manufacturer of honey-based nutritional products, is pleased to announce that its new Caramel Stinger Waffle has been awarded Skiing Magazine’s Hot Gear of SIA 2015 award. The Caramel Stinger Waffle is the only nutritional product named to the list of 33 products shown at this year’s SIA show in Denver, Colo.

“The Caramel Stinger Waffle is a welcome addition to our award-winning lineup of USDA Certified Stinger Waffles,” said Jennifer Shea, Honey Stinger’s national sales manager. “The Skiing Magazine Hot Gear Award reinforces our excitement for the launch of the new flavor, which comes out next month.”

The Stinger Waffle was inspired by the traditional stroopwafel, a street vendor waffle snack with a syrup filling popular among European cyclists as a quick source of energy. Rather than syrup, each Stinger Waffle is made with organic honey and other organic ingredients, making it a USDA Certified Organic product. Stinger Waffles are individually wrapped for easy, on-the-go snacking, and are priced at $1.39 each. The Caramel Stinger Waffle will be available for purchase at specialty running, cycling, outdoor and natural foods retailers nationwide, and on starting in March.

Stinger Waffles are now available in Caramel, Gingersnap, Honey, Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate and Lemon flavors.
