Denver, CO (April 25, 2013) - Native Eyewear has set the 2013 dates to find the next mountain town location for the 2014 Native Eyewear Locals Only Project. The Native team and ambassadors will scout locations, meet local adventurers and retail partners and find out what makes these towns unique.
The Locals Only Project tour will visit the following towns with Native Eyewear athletes:
Cody, WY – with climber Alli Rainey – April 30 - May 2
Taos, NM – with climber Timmy O’Neill – May 2 - 4
Flagstaff, AZ – with climber Timmy O’Neill and mountain biker Aaron Chase – May 5 - 8
Brevard, NC – with mountain biker Jeff Lenosky – May 7 - 9
Truckee, CA – May 10 - 12
“The Locals Only Project continues to be a successful driver of the Native brand and consumer awareness, but really, the connection we have to these places runs deep,” says Al Perkinson, Vice President of Marketing. “By employing and really working with the chosen mountain town locals, the stories and experiences are the authentic insights of what it’s like to be ‘local’ in these great places.”
The Locals Only Project is a fan driver program that seeks to find the best mountain towns, the best local talent and the best local adventures- all through fan nomination and votes via social media. Native then works with the locals to curate stories of the community. These stories become the content for the catalog and branding materials, as they truly embody the Native Eyewear brand of adventure, outdoors and the mountain lifestyle. Since Locals Only Project’s inception, Native Eyewear has traveled to Boulder, CO, Hood River, OR and Whitefish, MT.
