Järpen, Sweden- Swedish high end outdoor pant maker, Lundhags, announced today its plan to launch in the United States in 2015. Begun in the 1930s by Joseph Lundhag, the design-focused brand has built a reputation for impeccably made outdoor clothing over the last eighty years. “Every detail is considered,” explained Steve Poulin, CEO of Swix Sport USA, the parent company of Lundhags USA, “If there’s a stitch in a certain place, there’s a reason for it.”
Lundhags has ridden a wave of popularity in Europe for finely made goods, with demand for its collection of versatile pants utilizing highly technical fabrics rising every year since their introduction in 2009. “You see (these pants) in urban areas, offices. You see them on the trail. They’re really the connection to a modern way of dressing for anything and of a more versatile wardrobe focusing on fewer, but quality clothing pieces,” described Andy Canniff, marketing director for Lundhags in the United States. The minimalist focus of Lundhags design reflects outwardly their commitment to environmental sustainability, a hallmark of Lundhags construction and manufacturing.
