Leatherman Taps Outdoor Industry Talent for New Roles in Sales and Marketing
Susan Dinesen and Carie Behe join the Leatherman team
Portland, OR—May 4, 2016— Leatherman Tool Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of high quality multi-tools, is pleased to announce the addition of Susan Dinesen as Director of Sales in Specialty Markets and Carie Behe as Marketing Manager, starting in March 2016.
Dinesen joins the Leatherman team with over 20 years of experience in the retail and wholesale environments including Suunto, Reebok and Scheels. Most recently, Susan served as West Sales Manager and Key Account Manager at KEEN Footwear. In her new role, she will direct and drive the Leatherman sales organization within specialty markets including action sports, cycling, outdoor, running, etc.
“Historically Leatherman has been well established in the hook and bullet industry,” said Tim McCool, Leatherman’s vice president of sales. “But as we look to diversify and expand our product offerings, we need to reach further into the outdoor Industry as a whole. With the addition of Susan’s experience in and passion for the outdoor industry, we are both excited and confident we will become even more meaningful to consumers who look to Leatherman as part of their real life adventure.”
In addition to Dinesen, Leatherman recently welcomed Carie Behe, with over seven years of brand marketing experience at outdoor footwear brands, KEEN and Danner. As Marketing Manager, Behe will develop and manage trade and consumer go-to-market activities such as PR, social media, advertising, strategic partnerships and community building.
