In the aftermath of the destruction that occurred after the Memorial weekend floods in central Texas, Austin Canoe and Kayak together with Adventure Medical Kits, Sawyer Products Inc. and Tackett Brothers Inc. donated supplies and cash to a locally based charity to help with the post flood relief and rebuilding efforts.
Austin, Texas (June 5th, 2015) – Outdoor retailer, Austin Canoe & Kayak (ACK), a division of MSP Holdings, LLC, today announced a donation to the 2015 flood relief and rebuilding efforts of central Texas in partnership with Adventure Medical Kits, Sawyer Products Inc. and Tackett Brothers Inc.
These donations included various medical supplies, SOL emergency blankets, insect repellents and bite treatments by Adventure Medical Kits, Sawyer insect repellents as well as a cash donation from Tackett Brothers Inc. In addition, ACK donated lanterns, hatchets and emergency ponchos. The donations will aid the Austin Disaster Relief Network, a reputable local organization that has been vital in both the relief and more recently rebuilding efforts.
“This is a tragedy that hit close to home and our hearts go out to those affected along with their families and friends,” said Steve Messana, ACK President. “We are thankful that through the partnerships with our suppliers we’re able to help with the relief and rebuilding efforts.”
