  • Rogers Corporation, designer and manufacturer of specialty materials including Poron XRD Extreme Impact Protection, recently announced Seal Wu as its new sales engineer in South China to help bolster its efforts on the active lifestyle, outdoor and footwear industry segments.Wu has over 11 years experience in the footwear industry. Prior to Rogers, worked on Stella International Footwear Company’s purchasing team for more than seven years. Wu is extremely familiar with the footwear, outdoor and active lifestyle industries, and will work closely with Roger’s U.S., European and Asian teams to continue to grow sales and build the reputation of the XRD brand. His presence in South China will also help XRD customers establish a greater local connection to key supply chain stakeholders.
  • Weinstein Public Relations, a boutique strategic communications firm with offices in Portland and the Columbia Gorge, Ore., added five new clients including performance apparel company Sunday Afternoons, law firm Miller Nash, the Oregon Episcopal School, residential development Hassalo on Eighth and non-profit the Freshwater Trust.
  • Far Bank Enterprises, which specializes in the fly-fishing industry, appointed outdoor industry veteran Scott Forristall as vice president of U.S. sales for Sage, Redington and RIO Products. Forristall brings extensive leadership experience after working in the outdoor industry for the past 13 years. Most recently, Scott expanded sales efforts as the head of sales for the Watercraft Division of Johnson Outdoors, where he worked with all of the major outdoor industry retailers as well as 300 outdoor specialty retailers.
  • Industrial Revolution, the privately-held Washington manufacturer and distributor of outdoor accessories like UCO Candle Lanterns and Light My Fire, camp kitchen products, is revamping its management team. Graeme Esarey has been promoted to president, and will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. He was previously the director of marketing and product development. Owner Keith Jackson is taking on the role of CEO in order to focus on future acquisitions and the cultural and strategic initiatives of the business. Peter Pontano joins the team as the new product development manager. Pontano hails from K2 Sports, where he was the senior design engineer responsible for Ride Snowboard’s binding systems.
