Honey Stinger Gel

Buzz, buzz, yes, this is a sports gel that is honey, pure and simple. What an idea!

Buzz, buzz, yes, this is a sports gel that is honey, pure and simple. What an idea! These contain a very smooth honey that goes down in one glistening swallow without the harshness many may connect with off-the-counter honey. Yes, it's just as sweet, but that mild smoothness is a treat.

We are split on this taste-sensation. It's practical, and a sports energy product that wouldn't be turned down in an emergency need for sports energy, but one tester found it too sweet for constant use, while another wants it all the time now. One real advantage to the honey gel is its adaptability: You can take it along on a backpack trip and squeeze it on oatmeal or a bagel or into a dinner creation. You can mix it with water for a mild tea. Or you can suck it out of the small pouch for an energy punch. That's nifty.

Suggested retail: $1.39 per single packet, $8.34 per six-pack
