Vancouver, BC (for immediate release) – Westcomb, the award-winning designer and Canadian manufacturer of performance outdoor apparel, is debuting an all-new collection of parkas in January at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market.

The SUBZERO line is Westcomb’s first expedition-weight line of parkas designed to protect from the elements in the most frigid temperatures and harshest conditions. Sleek and smart, the SUBZERO collection features a unique blend of form and functionality. Built with Westcomb’s commitment to superior craftsmanship, the SUBZERO line is designed for anyone confronting the bite of arctic temperatures from Iditarod racers to the cold climate urbanite.

Constantly innovating, Westcomb is pioneering the use of the all-new Primaloft® Down Gold Blend insulation in the SUBZERO line. A woven fabric consisting of 70 percent 750-fill power goose down and 30 percent PrimaLoft® fibers, the blend combines the high-loft and warmth retention of goose down with the ultralight and hydrophobic qualities of Primaloft® fibers.

Westcomb’s SUBZERO line uses a host of industry leading fabric technologies from Schoeller®, Polartec®, Pertex® and PrimaLoft®. The collection features three new men’s styles including the hip-length Madison Bomber, and the mid-length Mission and Expedition Parkas. For women, Westcomb designed the Traverse Parka with a regular fit that hits mid-thigh and the slim fit knee-length Sahara Parka.

The various styles offer different combinations of features including removable hoods, velour lined pockets and collars, helmet compatible hoods, media pockets, adjustable waists and internal elasticized cuffs. SUBZERO parkas are comfort rated for temperatures down to -25 C.
