TRUE Communications Launches Women @ TRUE

Leading marketing communications firm launches new department to support inclusion and diversity in active outdoor industries.

(Sausalito, CA; July 19) TRUE Communications today announced the launch of its newest initiative, Women @ TRUE. With a vision of helping women gain equal representation in the outdoor, running and cycling industries, Women @ TRUE will be led by team member Nicole Wood. As part of this new initiative, Women @ TRUE will support leading nonprofits and organizations that help advance inclusion and diversity with communications strategy, PR, social media, content creation, and influencer relations.

“It’s no secret that there has traditionally been a lack of opportunities for women and female-led businesses in the active outdoor industries and we've created this department to support nonprofits, brands and individuals who share our vision of equal opportunity for women,” said Nicole Wood, Director at TRUE Communications. “We are launching Women @ TRUE as a way to champion women trailblazers and accelerate the growth of their companies by elevating their brand and voice in the space.”

Women @ TRUE is a proud member of Camber Outdoors and a 2018 prize package sponsor of Pitchfest at this summer's Outdoor Retailer show in Denver, Colorado. In a show of support for these remarkable female entrepreneurs, Women @ TRUE will offer complimentary consulting to each of the Pitchfest finalists as part of the 2018 prize package.

Nicole Wood will lead the launch of the new initiative and serve as Director of Women @ TRUE. A member of the TRUE team for nearly two years, Nicole comes from the international relations industry, where she partnered with the U.S. Department of State and several leading non-profit organizations to empower women entrepreneurs in the STEM fields around the world. Wood will lead a growing team of women at TRUE that currently numbers four and is looking to expand further as the agency continues to expand.
