Portland, OR – Snow Peak, the innovative outdoor lifestyle company, is pleased to introduce the Motil, which revolutionizes the way headlamps predict line of sight angles and thereby improving nighttime vision for those on the move.
“In recent years we’ve seen most headlamp innovation plateau and consist only of increased lumen output. So we decided to completely re-imagine the form and function of the headlamp,” says Joey Tuma, Snow Peak North American sales manager. “Using very simple design principles, we’ve created a headlamp that will improve outdoor enthusiast’s experience by leaps and bounds.”
Using Snow Peak’s patented Optic Motility™ technology a system based on gravity and counterweight the Snow Peak Motil Light’s beam adjusts its angle to compensate for the difference between the movement of the head and eyes. By doing this, the light moves at the same degree in a fluid motion as your eyes as you look up and down.
Output: 90 Lumens*
Settings: High, Low, Strobe
Batteries: (2) AAA*
Snow Peak will debut the new Motil Headlamp at next month’s Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City.
About Snow Peak
Snow Peak's journey began in 1958, when its founder Yukio Yamai, an accomplished Japanese mountaineer, created his own line of superior gear out of the dissatisfaction with available products.
Yamai ‘s natural inspiration came from his life in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. A range of mountains that rise up to an altitude of 1000m form a wall on the boundary between Niigata and Fukushima prefectures, and the rivers and streams born from the peaks and valleys flow out to the East Japan Sea. It is this place that inspired Yukio, and to this day continues to inspire all of the products that come from Snow Peak.
Today we strive to create products that inspire people to enjoy the outdoors, we seek harmony between people and nature, and we look to manufacturer with such high quality standards that you may pass on your equipment to the next generation. This is where all of our designs are born. www.snowpeak.com
