June 11, 2019 - Boulder, CO- For decades, Sierra Designs has succeeded in providing some of the best cost-to-weight value in the industry. The brand’s Spring 2020 offerings are no exception as they continue to bridge the gap between technical ingenuity and attainable prices with down sleeping bags and an entirely new collection of sleeping pads.

“For 2020, we’ve expanded our sleeping bag line targeted at the weekend warrior,” says Andrew Day, VP/GM of Sierra Designs. “While designing, we kept in mind the two things that have made a name for us in the industry: weight and pricing. From our new attainable price point down bag to a brand-new category of sleeping pads, our Spring 20 line offers quality and affordability to campers of all levels.”

Comfortable, lightweight and loaded with features, the Sierra Designs Taquito is a mummy bag stuffed with 550 Fill Power DriDown™ to keep you toasty even as temperatures dip. The single-sided zipper with anti-snag tracks makes getting in and out a breeze, while the Draft Dodger collar keeps body heat in and cold out. Available in three temperature ratings, the Taquito is an outstanding introductory down bag weighing a mere 1lbs 10oz (35°). MSRP: $219.95/35°, $249.95/20°, $319.95/0°

Built to take synthetic sleeping bags to the next level of comfort and performance, the Synthesis Mummy Collection expands by adding three new options: a women’s specific 20°, women’s specific 0° and unisex 0°. This lightweight zippered mummy features synthetic fill that provides lofty warmth even when wet, along with 20d nylon ripstop exterior fabric and a nylon taffeta liner for maximum coziness. Dual zippers create a fold-down comforter for easy temperature control and freedom of movement, while the patented self-sealing foot vent offers quick ventilation from below. Weighing in at only 1lbs 6 oz (50°), the Synthesis Mummy offers some of the best cost-to-weight value in the game. MSRP: $119.95/50°, $129.95/35°, $139.95/20°, $149.95/Women’s Specific 20°, $169.95/0°, $179.95/Women’s Specific 0°

An entirely new category for S20, Sierra Designs welcomes two air pads to their extensive collection of camping equipment. The Shadow Mountain air pad delivers comfort in a lightweight, compact package. Efficient baffle construction and a hassle-free valve make the pad comfortable and easy to inflate. Plus, a 3” thickness means you’d be hard pressed to find the ground. Pairing well with Sierra Designs’ 20° bags, the Granby air pad shares the same construction as the Shadow Mountain but adds a layer of synthetic insulation to fight off the cold. Both air pads come outfitted with Sierra Designs’ signature burrito storage bag for easy packing. MSRP: Shadow Mountain (Non-insulated)/$79.95, Granby (Insulated)/$99.95.
