Washington, DC (January 19, 2015)--In less than two weeks, SnowSports Industries America (SIA), the snow sports industry’s member-owned trade association, will return to Copper Mountain following the 2015 SIA Snow Show (Jan. 29 – Feb. 1) to host the 6th annual On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest & Nordic Demo(Feb. 2-3) in-conjunction with the Western Winter Sports Representatives Association (WWSRA) Rocky Mountain Demo and in partnership with Cross Country Ski Areas Association (CCSAA).

The On-Snow Demo provides the industry with a much-needed break from indoor presentations and meetings to get on the SNOW with industry friends.

Demo attendees are encouraged to pre-register and pick-up Demo badges at the Snow Show’s registration desk– to avoid additional fees and lines at the Demo. Click here for more details. Discounted/tiered pricing packages are ONLY available with pre-registration – onsite Demo registration at Copper Mountain will be $75/person.

“The biggest Demo change will be the AT/Telemark section’s new location -- between the Alpine and Snowboard lots, just west of the American Flyer lift. Also, DIN registration for skiers will be available at the Colorado Convention Center near the Show’s registration desk, so attendees can pick up their badges to avoid standing in line at Copper,” said Cami Garrison of WWSRA.

Over 140 brands will be on snow with skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, packs, gloves, goggles, protection gear, and more. Find the complete list of On-Snow Demo alpine, snowboard and Nordic exhibitors here.

“The On Snow Demo is what brought me back to the SIA Snow Show. The Demo is the carrot on the stick for me. I do three of four days of demoing and then a couple days of skiing and it’s a real welcome break,” commented John Wright, Trollhaugen Ski & Board Shop, WI.

This year’s Demo will play host to The Rhythm Rally, a banked slalom race to benefit Adaptive Action Sports (AAS) winter programs. Teams of five riders (including one female rider) will put together a cumulative time for the title of Rally Champs. Awards are at 4:30P. For more Rythym Rally info, please go-to: www.adacs.org.

AAS will also host a post-race party at Copper’s Incline Bar & Grill with drink specials, silent auction and surprise musical guest. Adaptive Action Sports, based in Copper Mountain was co-founded by U.S. Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy in 2005, also SIA’s keynote speaker at the Snow Show’s INDUSTRY + INTELLIGENCE gathering on Jan. 28th.

“There is no regional demo that happens with the depth of product that is available at Copper every deck, every binding and plenty of sizes. The SIA On-Snow Demo is a one stop shop for retailers who make it to SIA to combine their buying efforts into a single trip,” said Johan Malkoski, Sales Manager, C3.

The two-day Nordic Demo, located in Copper’s East Village, will feature the latest in skate skiing, classic cross country, touring and snowshoeing. The Demo’s custom built 5K Nordic trail system will incorporate short test loops and varied terrain – perfect for testing, product comparisons or just enjoying the view. Nordic Demo exhibitors include AlpinaAtomicFischerMadshusOne WayRossignolSalomon,SWIXTubbsYukon Charlie’s.

“The terrain at Copper great for testing, a few hills, some flats. It was really great to be able to compare so much equipment side-by-side,” said Adam Jonson, Pioneer Mountaineering.

Nordic Demo attendees will also enjoy breakfasts, lunches and educational seminars with great ideas retailers can implement back at their shops including The State of the Nordic Market and presented by SIA’s Director of Research Kelly Davis andMaximizing Nordic Sales at Specialty Retail. For a complete Nordic Demo schedule, please go to:SIAsnowshow.com/nordicdemo

The Demo’s annual Uphill/Downhill Challenge will again gather “the weak, strong and the thirsty” to help raise funds for The American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE). Teams compete against their own best times and COSMIC levels. Challenge starts at 1P and awards, raffle drawing and cold brews start at 3P. Download the Uphill Downhill Challenge Entry Form to sign up or stop by the Scarpa Snow Show booth before noon on Feb. 2nd. Awards and beers at 3P for all.

Located 74 miles west of downtown Denver, Copper Mountain is home to the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center – the only full-length downhill early-season training facility in the world. Copper also features Woodward at Copper an indoor/outdoor year-round action sport training facility.
