Mirroring the expansion of the brand that now includes Merrell Apparel, the company is unveiling a redesigned Web site, www.merrell.com, featuring the entire men's and women's apparel collections arriving at retail this August and simplified Web navigation streamlining the process for site visitors to find product. Merrell will introduce eight international sites by early 2008. The site went live last month.

“Merrell's Web site needs to evolve with the brand,” said Seth Cobb, vice president and general manager of Merrell. “With a simple click, visitors can see the entire product line and how the footwear works with our new apparel offerings. In addition, the site provides a community where consumers can interact with each other sharing their outdoor passions. This is a total Merrell experience appealing to long time fans of the brand and new admirers.”

Specific changes include: a section called “Where Have You Been,” where guests submit and share their own Merrell outdoor stories with photographs and, if selected for the feature of the month, they are awarded a $100 Merrell gift certificate; pull down navigation bars for quick and easy product searches; and the well-known Merrell brand “orange arrows” leading guests to their next location of choice.
