BASALT, Colorado (Jan. 5, 2017) — rygr, an integrated marketing agency for active lifestyle brands, welcomes Greg Fitzsimmons as senior account manager. Fitzsimmons joined the Colorado-based agency on January 2 to lead a team working on the Keen Footwear account, as well as other projects.
“Greg’s enthusiasm and professionalism are well known in our industry and our local community,” says Brian Holcombe, agency principal. “Greg’s involvement will be instrumental as rygr continues to evolve and we’re thrilled for him to hit the ground running at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market this month.”
Prior to joining rygr as a senior account manager, Fitzsimmons most recently worked in the travel and destination marketing verticals with PR, content marketing and social media clients including Aspen Chamber Resort Association, Ski Portillo, and Tierra Hotels.
Fitzsimmons moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2007 after completing the Columbia Publishing Course. He previously worked as the advertising manager at Rock & Ice, an editor at Aspen Magazine, and an editor at Francis Ford Coppola’s literary magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story. Fitzsimmons’ writing has been featured by ESPN, GQ, Outside Magazine, SKI, Skiing, and Powder, among others; and he’s worked on content projects for brands like Patagonia, GoPro, Red Bull, and Blizzard Skis.
Fitzsimmons lives in Aspen, Colorado, with his wife, Brie, and their 16-month old son, Duke. When he’s not working, he can be found spinning laps on his home mountain of Ajax, hiking with Duke or mountain biking.
