(Salt Lake City, UT) – Last week, 3point5 announced the hiring of a new CEO, Duncan Robins.

This week, the pioneering online training company is back with more big news: they have surpassed 25,000 registered retail sales people, representing over 4,000 storefronts, who have taken over 500,000 individual brand education tests, called “EduGames”.

For 3point5 founder Paul Kirwin, this latest achievement is only the beginning. “This is good news for retailers, manufacturers and consumers, as well as for 3point5,” he said. “By passing progressively more difficult brand EduGames, our retail sales people are becoming more effective on the sales floor. They're learning about more than just the new product features and benefits – they're also learning the history and positioning of the brands themselves. And, by getting better deals by passing the tests, they're earning and using the products themselves.”

Currently, 26 leading brands are represented on 3point5, with more pending, according to CEO, Duncan Robins. “Our plan is to keep adding sales people and companies while expanding our training services to retailers.”

“Our goal is to make 3point5 the place where retail sales people, retailers and manufacturers go to receive training, share ideas and get constructive feedback to generally tighten the connection between consumers and retail. Historically, communication between manufacturers and retailers has been one way. 3point5 wants to create the opportunity for a dialogue”.

3point5 is an online training community of manufacturers, retailers and retail salespeople.
25,000 retail salespeople have registered on 3point5 to train on the sporting goods they sell, 4,000 storefronts are actively using the program, accounting for over 500,000 individual EduGames.

Participating manufacturers include: Arc'teryx, Bending Branches, Carlisle, Chaco, Cycleops, Extrasport GoLite Footwear, Gore, Gregory, Head Skis, Head Racquet Sports, Keen, Marmot, MacGregor Golf, Mountain Hardwear, Necky Kayaks, Ocean Kayak, Old Town Canoe, Patagonia, Pearl Izumi, Saris, Smith, Suunto, Teva, The North Face and Thinsulate.
