3point5 Appoints Duncan Robins as CEO
(Salt Lake City, Utah) - Online training company 3point5, Inc. has announced the hiring of Duncan Robins as CEO.
A veteran in the sporting goods industry, Robins led the reinvigoration of the Yakima brand as CEO and the hockey, football and medical divisions of Easton Sports as a division manager. More recently, he was CEO of California Tan, turning that operation to cash flow positive and selling it to a larger competitor. His prior experience with corporate finance and consulting companies like Bain and Morgan Stanley have given him the ability to create structure and positive cash flow for companies in a variety of categories and distribution models.
Paul Kirwin, Founder of 3point5 says, “Duncan is the final piece of our management team needed to drive 3point5 into the future. He helped build a business structure around the original idea for 3point5. We've kept in contact.â€
Duncan Robins continued, “I've watched the growth of 3point5 with great interest. From the rapidly expanding user base of salespeople and manufacturers, to the commitment of a fine regional venture capital partner in Vspring Capital to a very strong board of directors, the foundation is set for growth. “
3point5 is an online training community of manufacturers, retailers and retail salespeople operating in the sporting goods market.
25,000 retail salespeople have registered on 3point5 to train on the equipment they sell, 4,000 storefronts are actively engaged in the program, and a total of 26 major manufacturers will be presenting their training to retail to begin the spring selling season.
