Wenzel jumps into spring 2015 with a broad selection of new and innovative camping gear

Tents, packs, and sleeping bags blend next level comfort and convenience with a price that’s hard to beat

BOULDER, COLO. (For Immediate Release) – With an extensive heritage of creating quality, value-oriented outdoor gear, Wenzel is heading into 2015 with a broad assortment of tents, packs, and sleeping bags to help simplify time outdoors with friends and family.

With three new tent technologies, sleeping bags that customize for comfort in any climate, and packs that multitask from trail to Eurail, Wenzel’s newest selection offers abundant simplicity and convenience at a price that makes the outdoors even more approachable.

“Wenzel is all about making the outdoors more accessible with designs and technology to help make camping easier and more comfortable than ever,” said Steve Nadler, VP and Brand Manager for Wenzel. “Our designs and technologies provide real solutions to solve real problems, allowing campers to focus more on having fun in the outdoors.”

New Wenzel tent technologies include Insect Armour treatments to repel insects, EZ Rize tent technology to speed campsite set up, and Lite Reflect to help better illuminate tent interiors.

Insect Armour: An effective repellant against a wide range of bugs including mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges, Wenzel’s Insect Armour protects you, your family, and your friends from itchy bites, rashes, and insects known to carry a variety of diseases such as West Nile virus, Lyme disease, and encephalitis. Insect Armour’s active ingredient is permethrin, a synthetic version of pyrethrin which is a natural insect repellant derived from chrysanthemum flowers. Insect Armour will be available on a variety of Wenzel tents and shelters including the Insect Armour 3 ($99), Insect Armour 5 ($149), Insect Armour 10 ($319), and Insect Armour Magnetic Screen House ($199).

Lite Reflect: Light up the entire interior of your tent with Wenzel’s Lite Reflect technology. Place a flashlight or headlamp in the multipurpose gear loft and Lite Reflect will fill the entire tent with bright usable light. Lite Reflect allows campers to read, play cards, or plan the next day’s adventure in hands-free comfort. Wenzel has added Lite Reflect to three of our best-selling tents for 2014; Ridgeline 3-Person ($79.95), Pine Ridge 5-Person (119.95), and Great Basin 10-Person ($249.95), Lite Reflect helps you bring more of the comforts of home on any camping experience. EZ Rise: EZ Rise tents and shelters offer quick and simple one-minute set up or take down so you can spend more time enjoying time with friends and family in the great outdoors. Unlike other “instant” tents, our EZ Rise technology comes with an enhanced feature set including an auto locking hub at the tent apex to keep this shelter standing tall even when the weather turns bad, a separate rain fly for more comfortable ventilation and stargazing in fair weather, and hinged poles instead of telescoping poles for years of reliable service. Available in the EZ Rise 3 ($119.95), EZ Rise 5 ($149.95), EZ Rise Screen House ($139.95), EZ Rise Shade ($119.95). VIDEO

Wenzel is also proud to introduce the Temp Control sleeping bag and Traveler Pack backpack to the line, two items that bring functional versatility for camping and travel.

Temp Control: Offering all-in-one convenience and performance for a wide range of seasons, the Temp Control bag offers a warm and comfortable night’s sleep from spring through fall. With a removable hood and versatile inner blanket, this bag will perform in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 60 degrees. For maximum warmth, leave the hood on and sleep under the middle layer. When temperatures warm up, remove the hood and position the middle layer underneath your body. And on the warmest nights, remove the hood and middle layer completely. The Temp Control bag’s rectangular shape makes it extra comfortable while synthetic insulation is easy to care for. $59.95

Traveler Pack: With enough storage space and organization for extended trips domestically or abroad, the Traveler Pack is an ideal travel companion. A 3000 square inch main compartment includes a single aluminum stay and HDPE framesheet for load support, a padded sleeve to keep your laptop secure, and a zippered back panel so you can stow the shoulder straps and waistbelt for checked luggage convenience. A 600 square inch daypack detaches from the front of the Traveler so you can easily use it as a carry-on or for traveling light once you get to your final destination. For extra security, a hidden pocket keeps valuables safe. $74.95
