(Carbondale, Colo.) —Outside magazine awarded Ultralite Sports with a prestigious Interbike “Gear of the Show” award for its Cirrus Ti pedal, an innovative and lightweight new design in cycling pedals

“As a complete system, including pedal and cleat, the Ultralites weigh just 112 grams,” says Outside's cycling expert Aaron Gulley on www.outsideonline.com. “Beyond all the lightweight high tech, however, we just love the clean, polished design that boils pedals down to their essence.”

Ultralite introduced its new pedal system at Interbike. Despite a challenging location in the basement of the tradeshow, a steady stream of dealers, media and other exhibitors lined up to see the new technology. In addition to Outside magazine, VeloNews, Bike Radar, Bike Rumor, Red Kite Prayer, Slowtwitch and the Gear Junkie have all written about Ultralite pedals.

“We are truly honored to receive the Gear of the Show award,” states Ultralite founder Bill Emerson. “Interbike was a tremendous success for our fledgling company and we're really excited about what the future holds.”
