Therm-a-Rest® Hammocks Offer Superior Camp Comfort

Since 1972, Therm-a-Rest has prided itself on bringing the world’s best lightweight, comfortable sleeping options to the outdoor camping market. In 2015, Therm-a-Rest stakes its claim as the leader of all forms of premium, outdoor camp comfort with the release of USA-made hammocks.

Therm-a-Rest’s Slacker™ Hammock is made in the United States with a soft polyester fabric for superior next-to-skin comfort—and is available in single and double sizes. The attached pocket plays double duty as a stuff sack as well as a holder for books, tablets, and headlamps.

The hammocks feature next-level comfort using a custom, woven diamond ripstop fabric which eliminates lengthwise seams. The hammocks are available in five colors, including two with custom prints.

“Car camping in state parks and in National Forests is exploding in popularity,” said Doug Jacot, vice president of Therm-a-Rest. “Today's outdoor enthusiast wants versatile camp comforts that bring fun and decadence to their connection with nature. We're seeing people erect hammocks on rafts in the West, string them up between trees in the muggy Northeast, and bring them to music festivals in the Southwest.”

The mesh Slacker Hammock Bug Cover extends the usability of the hammock in buggy climates. It clips into the Slacker Hammock’s suspension points and creates a bug-tight seal while a large zippered entry makes getting in and out easy. Clip lights or gear onto the exposed webbing ridgeline.

Therm-a-Rest’s new hammocks and accessories will debut at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August 2014 and will be available in stores starting January 2015.

Therm-a-Rest’s Slacker Hammock is Made in the USA of Imported and US Materials.
