Sanük Sees Strong 2008 Growth

(Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.) – Sanük announces continued growth with a 38 percent revenue increase from 2007 to 2008. 2009 preorders are up 248 percent; with a skyrocketing consumer following Sanük is on track for a record year.

According to the October market report from Leisure Trends Group, a leader in specialty retail market intelligence. According to the report, Sanük's market share increased from 5% to 12% of overall casual shoe dollars sold within the outdoor industry.

Sanük attributes its success to numerous factors, including: expanding into markets beyond its surfing heritage; maintaining corporate independence allowing creative strategy; popularity amongst well-known athletes and celebrities; and, great product.

"There's a vast landscape of potential consumers," states John Vance, president of Sanük. "Our styles and designs are extremely versatile and it has been fun to see the different places and people that Sanüks appear on."

Jeff Kelley, founder and creative director continues to think big for Sanük as he looks to bring Sanük to the golf and running markets.
